What is a Gift Annuity?

A Gift Annuity is a contract under which the American Committee for Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, Inc., (authorized by New York law) commits to paying a fixed-rate lifetime income to one or two individuals (contingent on age) based upon an irrevocable gift made to Shaare Zedek.

The following chart shows some representative rates of return for a Shaare Zedek Gift Annuity which is determined based upon the age of the individual who will receive the payments and if there is one annuitant or two:
